Stan Watkins (trumpet player,singer,songwriter,bandleader) has been a professional musician for over 20 years. He began his musical career with the Air Force Band Of the Golden West in 1984 until he was honorably discharged in 1987. He then began freelancing around Southern California where he has been afforded an opportunity to work in many types of settings with some of the best people the music business has to offer. Stan has worked with such greats as Brian Setzer,Barry Manilo,The Temptations,The Four Tops,Anthony and the Imperials,Franki Valley,Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gourmet,Johnny Mathis and many many more. Stan has also played with some of the greats of the latin music scene including:Tito Puente,Celia Cruz,Tito Nieves',Johnny Martinez,Yari More,Johnny Polanco,Rudy Regalado, and Opa Opa to name a few. Stan is equally at home playing in 30'000 seat arenas as he is playing in your livingroom. Stan's musical training is based upon a classical foundation which gives him the background to excel in so many areas of music. Stan's greatest attribute is the ability to bring together other great musicians and guide them toward a musical goal,whether it be to back a major performer or to perform at a private event.
